Thomas Michael Riley

Riley's Bio:

Honored as the Hill Country Entertainer of the Year in 2002 and 2004, Thomas Michael Riley is earning the status of a legend as he writes and sings his own brand of colorful and thoughtful country Americana music. Each performance, Thomas delights fans of country music with his songwriting skills, spirited music and wonderful sense of humor. His ability to capture his audience is pure magic! Having grown up in Buckingham, Texas, tending stock and learning cowboy ways, Thomas draws on his Texas roots, his Christian rearing, and his rich personal experiences to passionately write and sing a very entertaining brand of music. Being raised as one of seven siblings, Tommy says “…around our supper table there were the quick and the hungry.” He must have been quick, towering in at 6’6” with a rich baritone voice of many ranges. What began as a pastime in the eighth grade, playing the guitar and singing songs became ingrained after he graduated from college and began life on his own. His first paying gig was a Saturday night in Dallas, when he had to borrow the sound system from his church and deliver it back that night for Sunday services. For fourteen years, Thomas entertained audiences only on the weekends, while aggressively pursuing a successful business career. In 2002, he made the courageous decision to leave the business world and live out his life following his passion to entertain people as a full-time singer and songwriter. Thomas is well known and genuinely loved by country music fans throughout the Hill Country. He plays frequently in the Texas Hill Country, is a featured artist at Luckenbach, and has just completed his second ‘Thomas Michael Riley’ music festival and his first European tour. He has also been spotted beach bound, playing in Port Aransas, TX or up in the Dallas/Ft. Worth. These venues are in addition to a growing number of private party bookings. In addition, he has begun to divide his time with Nashville where he is writing songs with some of the top writers in the industry and is planning to take his music to a national level. Thomas has written the words and music of more than 500 songs and has recorded seven CD’s. His first big his song, “Perfectly Normal”, launched his career as a writer and singer of country music. In July 2004, it made Texas Music Radio’s Top 10 and stayed for 26 weeks until reaching #1 on the KVET Austin, TX Charts, the only national award winning Americana station from Texas. In addition to his own CD’s, you will find Thomas’s songs on several CD’s of Texas legend, Gary P. Nunn. Thomas’ hits also include “Redneck Riviera”, “Cow Pasture Pool”, “First Things First”, and “Nowhere Fast” and he is far from done! Pick up one or all of these CDs and become the newest TMR fan!!

Anthony Garcia

Anthony Garcia is a songwriter, guitarist, classically trained pianist and vocalist. Garcia is currently based in Austin, Tx., Garcia’s hometown is Lubbock, Tx., where he draws inspiration for the mood and vastness of his music. Garcia’s upbringing in Texas and travels throughout the world have exposed him to a variety of cultures and music that have contributed to his vast repertoire and knowledge of musical styles. A classically trained pianist, lover of rock, blues and Spanish guitar, and fan of soulful vocals, Garcia’s musicianship and thoughtful song choice always keeps the audience engaged and wanting more.

Davey Schrank

Davey is the son of Barbara Faye and David Edward. He gravitated to music and arts at an early age. Wanting to be original, he could often be found writing and playing his own songs.

From a large family of creative and talented people, he was always around music. His grandmother played piano, I love the challenge of it, I have recently been teaching myself to play.

He played in a lot of bands, and says learned a lot from each person he played with. Now he is back in his home town playing gigs and living the musicians life. "I am enjoying playing live shows in Fredericksburg, but will be releasing my next album, which will have 7 of my latest tracks", says Davey. 7 is clearly his lucky number. He was born in '77 and loves everything in 7s.

Dennis Haxaw Bottoms

At the age of fourteen, Dennis saw the movie Bonnie and Clyde. This was his first introduction to the banjo sound that motivated him to learn the instrument. Dennis was convinced that he could play the five-string banjo if only he had one. So his father and mother searched the town and surrounding area for a banjo within their price range. Finally, his father came across a listing in the newspaper for a five-string banjo. He bought it for $40, and Dennis had a friend instruct him how to tune the instrument. But the instruction ended there as there were no lessons available in his hometown. Dennis practiced for hours on end---many times practicing late into the night. He often stuffed a towel under the door in hopes of blocking out the light and sound. Within six months of first picking up the banjo, Dennis traveled to Southern Missouri where he won the first of many banjo contests.

By the age of seventeen, Dennis began performing at the Opryland Theme Park in Nashville, Tennessee. Working with his band, The Silver Strings, Dennis toured the country. He would later go on to join up with and become a feature part of many country artists’ shows, including artists such as Dolly Parton, Jerry Reed, Porter Wagoner, Bob Luman, and Jeannie Seely. He elevated his career when he became a member and music director for the Louisiana Hayride, which helped him land a major writing and recording position at Warner Bros. Records. Since his time at Warner, Dennis has continued to stay active in music and is currently working on new projects that keep him motivated to continually take his skills to new levels.
